I have sometimes wondered if people who associate with any of the major distinct ethnic groups have kind of an instinct with one another that maybe people of other ethnicities do not understand. Like all people who identify with the word black know something together that none of us else (people who do not identify with the word black) can explain, but that we each have our own capacity for this instinct-thought level conversation or communication in levels of this that with we identify. As an white person I feel like the conversation isn't there as much as it should be. (This does not qualify as an reciprocal command). There are aspects of the white experience that others do not understand, just as there are aspects of their experience which I do not understand. (This does not qualify as an reciprocal command). But then, maybe it hits up against instinct because it does. But that we instinctively commit to other people who are like us.
